The United States Youth Fly Fishing Team, partnering with National Trout Unlimited and Cabela's, is honored to host the 2010 Fly Fishing Film World Tour in State College, PA on the 7th of May.
The 2010 Fly Fishing Film World Tour focuses on action, adventure, excitement, humor and lifestyle. We will take you on the journey to see what it takes to be truly committed, or insane, by those who capture the new revolution of fly fishing adventures on film.
Featuring films from both hemispheres, this Fly Fishing Film Tour includes exclusive and spectacular footage from Colorado, Ohio, Alaska, Montana, South Carolina, Idaho, Florida, Argentina, Australia, Canada and Mexico. We are almost certain you will experience a twitching of nerves in your casting arm.
This event will seriously rock your fishing world, inspire you to live beyond your most amazing fishing dreams, and surely get you pumped for the 2010 season ahead that is just around the corner. The date to reserve is May 7, at the State Theatre in State College, PA. The State Theatre is a stunning intimate venue that will feature fly-casters, fly-tiers, tackle manufacturers, authors, artists, intro films all day, and representatives that will converge on the city with a sure cure for the post winter blues and increase your fly fishing fever. Adding to your excitement will be raffles, swag, gear auctions and a chance to win a fly fishing trip of a lifetime for two.
The Fly Fishing Expo opens at 11 am featuring; Bobby Clouser, Cabela's, Centre Hills B & B, Dave Rothrock, E. Hille Co., Feathered Hook, FlyFishers Paradise, Orvis, Ross Reels, St. Croix Rod Co., Feathered Hook, Eric Stroup, FlyFishers Paradise, Hardy and Greys of North America, Mike Heck, Orvis, Performance Flies & Barbless Hooks, Susquehanna Fishing Magazine, St. Croix Rod Co., TCO Fly Shop, National Trout Unlimited, United States Youth Fly Fishing Team, Kype Fly & Spey Magazine, Joe Humphreys, Lance Wilt, Loren Williams, Kurt Finlayson, Brian Kimmel, George Daniel and other industry greats who will be displaying, merchandising and talking about the latest there is to offer and where to find the greatest fishing.
Joe Humphreys will personally present “Romancing the Trout” in the afternoon and Bobby Clouser will be tying flies with the official United States Youth Fly Fishing Team. The USA Youth Fly Fishing Team will be representing our country in the World Youth Championships in Slovakia and South Africa this July.
